The heart behind Woven Heart Studio

Woven Heart Studio grew from two things I've loved for much of my life: fabric and sewing, and helping people discover their own inner wisdom. I've been sewing for years, and as a hypnotherapist, I've also spent years helping people look within themselves for answers, possibilities, and change. I never imagined those two parts of my life would come together. But they did. And something beautiful happened.

How Woven Heart Studio Began

The idea for Woven Heart Studio came to me while I was thinking about what might come next in my own work. I knew I wanted to bring my love of fabric and creativity together with my work in hypnotherapy.

It took a book about making fabric flowers—and about three months of thinking, exploring, and wondering—before I began to see what was possible.

And then Woven Heart Studio was born.

But I didn't truly understand what this process could offer until I made my first Storycloth.

I called it “Release.”

My First Storycloth

“Release” was created around the deaths of my son and my husband.

I didn't begin the Storycloth expecting anything unusual to happen. I simply allowed myself to choose fabrics, ribbons, netting, and other pieces without trying to figure out what they meant. I trusted what I was drawn to and let the picture develop.

As I worked my way through the Storycloth, something began to change.

My emotions became lighter.

By the time I finished, I felt a sense of release and ease around their passing that I had never experienced before.

I was surprised. And grateful.

That experience changed the way I understood what intuitive creativity could be. I thought:

If this process could help me, perhaps it could help someone else, too.

And that is one of the reasons Woven Heart Studio exists today.

Creating a Safe Space to Explore

When you come to a Woven Heart experience, I want you to feel comfortable being exactly where you are.

I invite you to look around, become familiar with the fabrics and materials, and begin noticing what catches your attention.

We'll take some time to settle in and connect with what you'd like to explore. Sometimes we begin with writing. Sometimes we'll use a guided meditation.

Then we begin. There is no pattern to follow. No artistic standard to meet. No right or wrong way to create.

There is simply your way.

Sewing is optional. You can work with fabric, color, texture, shape, and whatever else speaks to you.

My role isn't to tell you what your Storycloth means.

My role is to create a safe space for you to discover what it means to you.

What I Love Most

One of my favorite things to witness is the moment when someone becomes completely absorbed in creating. The conversation gets quiet. The outside world seems to fade away. They're simply choosing, arranging, feeling, and creating. They're listening to something within themselves. And I get to witness that.

Sometimes people discover clarity. Sometimes they experience an emotional release or a new perspective. Sometimes they simply enjoy having a few hours to slow down and create.

Whatever you discover is yours.

My response to the question, "What is Woven Heart Studio?"

It's an invitation.

An invitation to slow down.
To listen.
To create without worrying about doing it right.
To be curious about what appears.
And perhaps to discover something that was already waiting within.

"My Woven Heart journey was truly transformative. I felt seen, supported, and was amazed by what I created. It was a profound and healing experience."
